appeal in People v. McLain, 46 Cal.3d 97,
including personal participation in oral argument.

Court, Compton, to represent the defendants in death penalty
prosecutions in People v. Travis, A622357;
People v. Bridges, A623271; and People
v. Sykes, A625409. (In all three of these cases,
the defendant was the alleged shooter in a robbery-murder;
none resulted in a death verdict; all were resolved at pretrial.).

Court, Compton, to represent the defendant in the death
penalty prosecution in People v. Hammonds,
A646376 (1990 jury verdict: life).

Ranch Preschool child molestation case in 1984.
